RV Care-A-Vanners Las Cruces Home Build Update (May 2020)
This Build Site was temporarily closed on Monday, March 23, 2020, as directed by Habitat International for the COVID-19 pandemic. A Re-Open date is TBD. They are closely monitoring all directives from Federal, State, and Local government as well as those being given by Habitat for Humanity International. Currently, the Care-A-Vanner program has been suspended by Habitat International through the end of August 2020, however, they may be able to utilize local volunteers at an earlier date. All updates will be posted on their website https://www.lascruceshabitat.org/ as they become available.
“I drove to the build site (yesterday) where my wife, Donna & I helped as volunteers this past October during the framing process for these two homes. We participated through the Habitat RV Care-A-Vanners program. The pictures below show the great progress made by the Las Cruces Habitat team and other RV Care-A-Vanner volunteers since October. Looks like they are both almost ready to have the new owners move in.”
